1. Learning the Arabic language as a means of intercultural communication

The Bourguiba Institute of Modern Languages in Tunis plays a central role in teaching the Arabic language to foreign students, thus creating a space for communication and cultural exchange. This learning allows students to discover the Arab culture in all its depth and to build bonds of understanding with the local population.

3. Presentation of the National Strategy for Ecological Transition

The visit of Ms. Leila Chikhaoui Mehdaoui, Minister of Environment, to the Bourguiba Institute of Modern Languages in Tunis marked an important milestone in the Institute’s commitment to sustainable development and education on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During her address, the Minister presented the National Strategy for Ecological Transition, emphasizing the importance of integrating sustainability across all sectors. Her visit raised awareness among students about environmental challenges.

Through the visit of the Minister of Environment, the Institute reaffirmed its commitment to the SDGs, encouraging students to become responsible and informed actors in building a sustainable society.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Ambassador of Japan to Tunisia, the President of the University of Tunis El Manar, and the Director General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

4. Organization of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at the Bourguiba Institute of Modern Languages in Tunis

The Bourguiba Institute of Modern Languages hosted the organization of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), an internationally recognized exam for assessing Japanese language skills. This initiative brought together students and enthusiasts of Japanese culture around a common goal, thereby enhancing linguistic and cultural diversity within the Institute. The JLPT provides participants with the opportunity to measure themselves against international standards while introducing Tunisian and international learners to new and multicultural perspectives.
