Services

UTM SHINE is an information service of the University of Tunis El Manar (UTM). Everything listed here is published openly on this site: SDG reports, policies, strategies, ranking methodologies and the pages that serve as public evidence for rankings.

What the site offers

SDG reports

One report for each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2026, 2025 and 2024, to read online or download as PDF. The 2026 page also offers the general report and an archive with all 18 files.

SDG ambassadors

Who leads UTM's work for each of the 17 goals, with their establishment.

Policies and strategy

UTM's sustainability policies, for example on climate change, water management, accessibility, equality and sustainable purchasing, with its strategies and climate action plan.

Ranking methodologies

Plain summaries of how ARWU (Shanghai), Times Higher Education and QS score universities, with indicators and weights, written for staff who prepare ranking data.

Ranking results

UTM's results in the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, goal by goal, and in other rankings, with the source of every figure.

Events and activities

Where to find the events recorded in the yearly reports, goal by goal.

Evidence pages for rankings

Several rankings ask universities to support their answers with public evidence. UTM's submissions to the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings link to pages of this site: policies, SDG reports and activity pages. The THE methodology for 2026 sets the conditions that make a page usable as evidence:

  • For each evidence question THE gives up to three points: one for the statement, one for the evidence and one if the evidence is public.
  • THE evaluates one piece of evidence per indicator, and documents or pages that require clicking through several links are rejected.
  • Online evidence has to stay publicly available until at least the start of the next data-collection cycle.

In practice, each topic needs one stable, self-contained, public address. The one-report-per-goal format of the yearly reports also matches a THE indicator: publishing progress against each of the 17 SDGs, individually or in an annual report, is metric 17.3, worth 27.2% of the SDG 17 score. The full rules are summarised in the THE methodology note.

Questions and corrections

If a report, a policy page or a figure needs correcting, or if you have a question about the evidence pages, use the Contact page. General enquiries to the university: utm@utm.tn.
