Sports Facilities

Sports Facilities and Activities

One of the primary objectives of UTM is to provide students with leisure opportunities tailored to their needs. To achieve this, the University has designated a coordinator to support sporting activities across the various institutions affiliated with the University of Tunis El Manar. A wide range of activities is offered in several formats:

  • Personal Training in Sports: UTM offers students the chance to participate in sports training sessions led by instructors, following an annual program proposed by the Regional Delegation for Youth and Culture of Tunis. Several activities are scheduled, including swimming, tennis, dance, aerobics, basketball, and football, based on a calendar established at the beginning of each academic year.
  • Self-Managed Practice and Recreational Activities: UTM’s infrastructure and location encourage the practice of recreational sports outside competitive or educational frameworks. These activities are supervised by instructors or volunteer student animators who are specialists. Students can freely participate in organizing sports-related events (tournaments, festivals) without needing to be a member of a club, fostering a sense of responsibility and self-confidence.
  • Team Sports: UTM students can also join university sports teams, acquire licenses to participate officially, and take part in inter- and intra-institutional competitions, as well as international events.

Sports Facilities and Fields at UTM

To support these activities, UTM offers a wide range of sports facilities and fields, including:

  • Outdoor Fields:
    • Football pitches
    • Basketball courts
    • Handball courts
    • Volleyball courts
  • Indoor Facilities:

    • Indoor basketball courts
    • Table tennis rooms
  • Additional Amenities:

By offering these facilities, UTM ensures that students have access to high-quality resources, encouraging physical activity and the pursuit of a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Public Access

Some of these facilities are accessible to the public, subject to prior reservation. This policy ensures that resources are available to meet the needs of both students and external users, supporting inclusivity and community engagement.

By offering these facilities and activities, UTM aims to promote physical well-being, teamwork, and leadership skills, contributing to the overall personal and professional growth of its students.
