What the report covers

  • National context. Tunisia's climate commitments under the Paris Agreement, and the weight of buildings in national energy use, with the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis named as the largest energy consumer among higher-education establishments.
  • Photovoltaic project. A preliminary design for a photovoltaic plant connected to the national grid, and the application to the national programme for energy transition in public establishments. According to the report, the National Agency for Energy Management (ANME) agreed to an installed power of 398.94 kWc, with 732 panels on about 5,300 square metres, expected to cover about 41% of the faculty's electricity use.
  • Energy-efficiency project. An awareness and action project to save electricity, aiming at annual savings of about 20% of consumption, supported by an analysis of load curves and electricity bills carried out with the national electricity and gas company (STEG).
  • Analysis application. An application for studying electrical energy efficiency in industry and services, shown through screenshots: billing scenarios, load distribution between phases, reactive and active energy, consumed energy.

The figures above are quoted from the report; they are the report's own statements.
